As part of its mission to promote sexual and reproductive health education among youth, DKT Mekong, in collaboration with Vietnam Health Magazine, continues the Fiesta Tour – “Chuyện Khó Nói To” (Speak Up About the Unspoken) across universities in Vietnam.
Recent stops include:
-
Phenikaa University – Hanoi
-
Can Tho University – Can Tho
-
Tay Do University – Can Tho

Empowering students through accurate knowledge and open dialogue
In a society where conversations around sexual and reproductive health can still be sensitive, Fiesta Tour creates a safe and open platform where students can:
-
Access accurate and science-based information
-
Engage directly with medical experts
-
Ask honest questions about contraception, STI prevention, and sexual wellness
-
Participate in interactive games and practical condom-use demonstrations
This initiative encourages young people to speak up confidently, make informed decisions, and protect themselves and their partners responsibly.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Oanh – Senior Partnership & Program Officer, DKT Mekong, shared: “Through the Fiesta Tour, we have the opportunity to directly connect with young people — especially Gen Z, who are and will continue to be the leaders of a new era. We believe that DKT Mekong’s vision — to build a world where every child is wanted, sexuality is understood as a healthy and joyful expression, and individuals have the freedom to make informed choices about their own bodies and futures — will be realized starting with today’s youth. Programs like Fiesta Tour not only provide scientific and practical knowledge, but also empower young people with confidence — helping them protect themselves, embrace healthy and respectful relationships, and spread a culture of responsible and positive sexual wellbeing within their communities.”

From Hanoi to Can Tho — expanding impact nationwide
-
Nearly 2,000 students joined the program at Phenikaa University, creating an energetic and inspiring atmosphere.
-
The enthusiasm continued at Can Tho University and Tay Do University, where students actively engaged in meaningful dialogue and learning.
Vibrant activities, laughter, Q&A moments, and student participation reaffirmed the importance and relevance of bringing reproductive health conversations to campuses.

Nguyễn Hoàng Đăng – Tourism & Travel Management student, Can Tho University: “I feel that this is a very meaningful and valuable program for university students, especially young people today. There is so much inaccurate information on social media, and we really need programs like this — with experts — to clarify these important topics.”
Trần Bảo Định – Faculty of Social Sciences & Communication: “After joining ‘Chuyện Khó Nói To’, I feel like a superhero who knows how to protect myself. The message is relatable, easy to understand, and very inspiring for me and other students here.”

A long-term commitment to youth and community health
As a social enterprise operating in Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia, DKT Mekong remains committed to:
-
Providing accessible, high-quality reproductive health solutions
-
Promoting safe sex and informed contraceptive choices
-
Empowering the next generation with evidence-based knowledge
Fiesta Tour is a testament to this mission — transforming education into empowerment and making sensitive topics approachable and impactful.
The journey continues
Fiesta Tour will continue reaching universities across Vietnam, bringing knowledge, confidence, and positive awareness to thousands of students nationwide.
