What is a contraceptive film?

Contraceptive film (VCF) is a thin, soft film with a small size (~5×5 cm), inserted into the vagina before intercourse.

The product contains the spermicide Nonoxynol-9 (28%), which works by killing sperm upon contact.

The film dissolves in the vagina after approximately 15 minutes, creating a protective barrier to help prevent pregnancy.

How to use

Remove the film from the pouch (Big Note: Hands must be dry)

Fold the film into a smaller size

Insert it deep into the vagina, as close to the cervix as possible

Wait at least 15 minutes before intercourse

Each film:

Effective for up to 3 hours or one act of intercourse

A new film must be used for each additional intercourse
