Meaningful change begins at the community level — and that is exactly where DKT Mekong chooses to show up.
As part of our ongoing commitment to expanding reproductive health access across the Mekong region, DKT Mekong recently organized a university-based activation in Laos, bringing reproductive health education directly to where young people learn, grow, and shape their futures.
300+ Voices, One Shared Goal
The event, held at the Faculty of Pharmacy’s Food & Fair, welcomed over 300 participants — including university students, lecturers, pharmacy owners, government representatives, and partner organizations. It was a gathering that brought together diverse voices united by a single purpose: making reproductive health information accessible, accurate, and stigma-free.
Our team engaged participants through interactive Q&A sessions and product sampling, creating an open and welcoming environment where questions were encouraged and honest conversations could take place.
Putting Women’s Well-Being First
At the heart of this activation was a strong focus on women’s health and empowerment. From contraceptive options to safe reproductive practices, our team provided evidence-based information tailored to the real needs and concerns of women in the community.
Because when women have access to the right information and quality products, they gain the confidence to make informed decisions — about their bodies, their health, and their lives.
Building Bridges, One Community at a Time
Activations like this are more than outreach events — they are an expression of DKT Mekong’s long-term commitment to the communities we serve in Vietnam, Cambodia, and Laos. By partnering with universities, healthcare professionals, and local stakeholders, we are building a network of trust that brings accessible, high-quality sexual and reproductive health solutions closer to those who need them most.
This is what community-driven impact looks like. And we are just getting started. 💙
